New bootrom and t-mobile sim card

I have firmware ver 5.1.1 on a new bootrom and want to use a t-mobile sim is that possible after jailbreaking or can you only use t-mobile sim cards on the old bootrom?

Unfortunately if your new bootrom 3GS is on iOS 5.1.1 it's also on the 5.16.05 Baseband. The ONLY way to Unlock that BB for use on other wireless carriers is to use the iPad BB. That's just not possible w/ your new bootrom 3GS... sorry.
