My Iphone has frozen!!! Help needed urgently please :-/

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum but having an issue with my phone and would be most grateful for your help
I was updating my software as you do - it times out right at the end every time. So I decided to back-up and restore the software. Unfortunately my phone came loose from the cable so I tried to reset it (top button and menu button) but now its frozen on the black screen with the silver apple logo!!!

I've tried connecting it to Itunes, I've tried reseting it - but nothing, its stuck!!! Anyone got any ideas without me having to pay Apple for technical support
Any suggestions would be welcome (by the way the phone has never been jailbroken - just standard iOS)

Try this. Hold power button and home button until screen goes blank. Plug into Itunes. Hold power and home button together. When apple logo appears release power and continue holding home button until computer see Iphone. This worked for me. Then go and restore Iphone.
