What's new

Just pulled 11 Mbps down on hpsa+

LTE speeds are impressive but you have to remember as more people start using LTE the speeds will probably drop some just because of the extra load on the network. I only usually get about 4MB down and about 1.5MB up on ATT HSPA+ so if I get into double figures with LTE I will be very impressed. I have no idea how good their LTE coverage is in my city but I should start finding out today when the UPS truck arrives. lol

I just ran some speed tests on the iPhone 5. LTE speeds are very impressive. With 3 bars of AT&T LTE service I was getting 28 to 30 Mbps down and about 8 to 12 Mbps up.

My home Internet is a little slower than that!

This thread is about HSPA+, not LTE.

Anyway, my 4S would normally get 4-8mb of DL. My 5 seems to be running about 1-2 MB faster on average. There is no LTE where I live so LTE speeds are irrelevant to me. But with HSPA+ this fast, I'm not really missing it.

Did I miss some kind of enhancement to the iPhone 5 that boosted HSPA+ download speeds? Does the super fast A6 processor play a role here?
