Thanks ha, one more question this DFU mode is that litreally just doing the buttons on the iphone or is there a mode on the phone i have to switch to ect ?

Yep... just holding the Home & Lock buttons for 10 seconds.

Does this also mean i have to download itunes in coherance with my firmware ?

When you download iTunes... it will give you the most recent updated version. I'm pretty certain it will work w/ whatever firmware you're running. (Someone please correct me if I am incorrect about this)

Im too scared to do it now because its telling me to restore my phone on itunes and i have some apps that i have paid for so what if i loose all of those.

Apps that you've paid for are always recoverable through iTunes... no worries.

So thats normal it was telling me to do that then, it will create that file ? And how would i do that if it goes wrong ?
