Jailbreak or not?

My friend was told me if i jailbreak my iphone so i will lost my international guarantee but exactly jailbreak make my iphone looks more cool and interesting to use. Gosh! This situation make me confused 

Jailbreaking is mainly your choice, there is a risk for everything , so far , I jailbreak my itouch and nothing happened to it

i need your help! I have a new ipod right now and i don't know if I'm going to jailbreak it or not because some users says that If you jailbreak your ipod there's a chance that it might brick and I dont want that to happen. Is it really true that your ipod would brick or destroyed if you jailbreak it? please guys help me! I can't even add some applications because some of them really requires jailbroken ipod. thanks!

Like the above poster states. Everything has the opportunity to mess up but jailbreaking is so easy. What would you like to do that involves jailbreaking? Maybe i can help?
