Jailbreak Help Needed

ok so my iphone 4 is jailbroken and is on version 4.0.1, i want to update and jailbreak again but is there a way where i don't have to delete everything and start over or somthing ? i honestly have no idea at all so any advice will be appreciated, thanks

there is an app on cydia, that lets you backup and restore everything you have from cydia, and as far as app's from app store just back up on itunes and restore. do a search on google for the app in cydia that will back up you cydia app's, i forgot the name, if you can find it let me know i will find it for you.

In order to upgrade, you would have to (on a jailbroken phone or ipod touch):

1. Install AptBackUp
2. Run it
3. Sync with iTunes in order for iTunes to back up your setup
4. PWN or QuickPWN/redsnow ur iPhone with the new firmware
5. Restore your settings
6. Run Cydia to install AptBackUp again
7. Run AptBackUp and click restore
