Its about gevey sim unlocked iphone5

1. I am using iphone 5 which is from UK
2. I unlocked it in Chennai .India with (gevey sim)
3. Its working perfectly now but its with old OS 6.1.2 I need to update my OS
4. Can I do with the gevey sim it it will work remains same?
