iPhone Video playing on computer.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new here and have a question regarding the videos I took with my iPhone4.
The videos are taken some with the iPhone upright, some with the iPhone rotated to the landscape position.
I then transferred all of them to my computer, using Windows Explorer.
When played with the Windows Media Player or VLC Media Player, the players would play in the landscape format, thus the videos taken with the iPhone in horizontal position will play fine, but the ones taken in the vertical position will play with the images rotated to 90°! Very uncomfortable to watch.
Open with Quick Time it displays just the first frame but in the upright position!
Any idea how to play the videos in a normal position would help me a lot.

Good question and one that as been bugging me for some time.

I would also like to know if there is an easy way to rotate videos. I have few and still haven't worked out how to this yet. I bet is something really simple i've overlooked...
