If the charger is not created specifically for the device and is simply supplying 5V at .25 amps or greater, than it will work. But if it has any circuitry to detect what type of phone it is connected to, then it won't.

yeah ur right

isnt it crazy though? iphone chargers are like 30$ but on amazon i see 5 star review chargers for like 6$!!?? (for iphone!)

i got my iphone connected to my PC via USB....and itunes and it said it was charging but the % was going DOWN!

so i closed itunes and left it plugged in and it still shows "charging"....dont have any other usb things going on besides keyboard and mouse....

so when charging with PC is it best to keep itunes off after you start charging? was that draining mah battery?

The slight draining might be because it was giving you a more accurate reading on the battery level on your iPhone.

I would always look for original charger. So many stories if ip being damaged becouse of cheep chargers. As far as i know, they are very sensitive on voltage. If you charge it thru USB, its not like wall charger becouse of the output power.

I would generally stick to charging with a pc or laptop if you don't have an original wall charger because most of the copies dont have the same watts, even though they claim to have them. Just personal experience.

Plus the materials used are different grades. There's a reason that some products are more expensive that others. Sure it's the name that might contribute to the cost, but ultimately they have to back it up with substance or they'd lose the accessories market
