I believe that is why all of Apple's cases have a white coating where the glass would be, to hide the appearance of the MagSafe ring.

It looks fine on the silver, but I would want to see the color of my blue or orange iPhone through the "clear" case!

I looked at UAG cases, they're pricey but they do look good..
