I recently jailbroke my phone and took a trip to Poland.

I purchased a sim card and placed it in the phone but I was still unable to make phone calls. Is there something I still needed to do to the phone to make it work please help.

jailbreak alone does NOT unlock a phone you need to use ultrasn0w and unlock it if its on a baseband that can be unlocked...

tap on settings > general > about and under modem firmware... depending on what version you have you might not be able to unlock it...

ultrasn0w unlocks the phone so you can use any sim world wide.. jailbreak just means u can install any app u want not approved by apple so doing that alone wont help you use ur locked phone on any network...
