Second hand New Iphone 4 but no calls allowed?

Hello guys ,

I've recently purchased a new i-phone 4 (2nd hand) off ebay its brand new but I put my T-mobile sim in and it wont let me make calls??

Any body know what to do?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Some more information. do you see no service on the top left? it sounds like the iphone could be locked to a different carrier that your trying to use, did you restore or anything?

The seller said it was T-mobile but I get no signal and looks like they reset it to basics or something?
