Ok so I can't really figure a way to search this so I figure I'll ask. If I have my iphone backed up on more than one computer and one of them is a backup of 5.1.1 is there any way to use that to go back from iOS 6? I really want to be jailbroken again. I have no problem waiting for it to be completed for iOS 6 but figured maybe this could work.

Unfortunately, no, there is no way to use a backup to restore to iOS 5.1.1.
You'll need to have saved the SHSH blobs for that iOS back when Apple was still signing them. Now, all that you can put on the phone is iOS 6 if you don't have the blobs.

Ok thanks for answering my question. Granted it was a general question not really concerning jail breaking more so iOS. I really also just dont care for ios 6. I just mentioned being jailbroken because you cant yet on ios6 with a 4s. But still thanks

Yup, just to confirm, regardless of your jailbreaking status, once you have taken an iPhone4S up to IOS6, there is currently no way to downgrade back (not even if you have saved SHSH Blobs for a 5.x firmware). Sorry
