Apologies for these basic questions but a newcomer to the Iphone
When I wish to download an app, I click on "install" - good so far !
A new page or lower down a page is a box which states "Choose a device", but inside this lists a Samsung Galaxy mobile
Where on earth has that come from, although the Iphone had a previous owner
I can see no method of removing this listed item

It may have some bearing on, after clicking on Install it tells me " ??? will be installed on your device soon"
I wait and wait but nothing.
When I return to the same app page it now indicates Installed - but it isnt

Is the incorrect device I mentioned at the beginning the root of the problem ?
How can I get rid of the Samsung entry ?

What web page are you going to? Normally app for the iPhone are installed through the App Store icon on the phone, or through iTunes on your PC. Sounds to me like you're going to the Google Play Store which is for android only.

Install app - Yes you are dead right. The app I was after wasnt in the app store so I tried Google store - what an idiot I am !!
Any ideas about why my Iphone shows the wrong device
I realise now it must have originated from the SIM card I transferred from my Samsung
Surely somewhere in "setting" there must be a Device Manager such as in windows where this problem can be corrected
Thanks for your help

I have no idea why the Google Play Store would show your iPhone in the select device drop down menu. One would think that Google would be smart enough to have their software be able to tell the difference.
