imessage problem

I cannot send or receive imessage to my son or some friends whom I know have imessage. When trying to get help at my retailer he found all my setting OK, and when he tried to send an imessage from his iphone to me it worked. And i could send to him but still not to any of my friends.

What about your son or your friends iPhones? how sure are you that they have the correct settings for iMassage on their iPhones?

Yes my son has correct settings and can send to a common friend.
