I don't have Mac OS 10.5.8 or later. I'm running 10.4.11 on a fairly early Mac Book Pro. What am I missing? What would be the advantage of updating my OS?

The 4S is my first iPhone, and I've never owned an iPod, but I have a .mac account which became MobileMe. I'd been using it to sync my contacts, email, and bookmarks. These all loaded into my iPhone with just a couple glitches. I haven't moved my .mac account to iCloud yet. I need to look into that further.

In the meantime, I can't sync my iPhone with my outdated version of iTunes, and I can't update iTunes without updating my OS, right? Is there another way to get my music library from my Mac to my iPhone? Could I upload songs to my iDisk and somehow download them into the iPhone?

I haven't started taking photos or video yet. When I do, will there be an easy way to move them to my Mac or do I need to update for this as well?

Are there many other things I'd be missing out on if I don't update my OS?

Thanks for any input anyone has!
