How to turn off all sounds except phone

I have alerts set for many apps but when I travel in a hotel room, I'd like to turn off ALL sounds except the phone for calls from home at night. Is there an easy way to do this without manually changing alerts for all the other apps?

Your problem solved in iOS6 by this feature: do not disturb... which is really good!
