How to restore iOS 4.3.3 on iPhone 4 running iOS 4.3.3

Hey a friend of mine wants me to restore his iPhone 4 running 4.3.3 with a fresh copy and re-jailbreak/unlock 4.3.3.
What is the best route to go about doing this or would it be better to restore a copy of iOS 5 and jailbreak/unlock that firmware instead?

It's up to him whether or not he wants the 4.3.3 still or if he wants the 5.1.1. If anything, tell him to get his SHSH blobs for 4.3.3, and stitch up an official 4.3.3 ipsw using redsn0w and restore it using the stitched ipsw.

So I have 4.3.3 blobs and stitched them to a 4.3.3 ipsw and did the restore and am now stuck in recovery loop. i can't even get into DFU mode and cant seem to get out of recovery. I have tried tiny umbrella, redsn0w, ireb and numerous other programs with no luck.

any ideas?
