Home Button Problem

I have a problem with my home button, I think it might be just that I have worn the button down, but would like others advise.

A few months ago, I went to use an app on the iPhone, and clicked the home button, and it wouldnt work, so I pressed very hard, and it works. You need to press it very hard to get home button to function, what could be the problem? could it be what I think it might be? could it be another issue, and I need it looked at? - if so how much would that cost? sorry for the questions. Would be grateful for any answers, thanks. Forgot to add, I have an iPhone 4.

Had a friend who had a problem like this, hers was water damage.... She went to apple and they put a virtual home button on her screen, not ideal but at least it works

Or get zephyr..
It's a tweak that will remove the need for the home button..

Activator and QuickDo can completely rule out using the home button entirely if you set it up rite.

They are just tweaks that allow you to assign and slide gesture/2,3 finger swipe, tap, hold/button press to do basically whatever you want.

FYI: QuickDo is far better the Activator in so many ways.
