Friends on apple products for face time

I have FaceTime on my devices, both my iPad and iPhone have most of my friends contact email addresses. I just don't know if they use FaceTime or not. I sometimes wonder isn't there an easy way to let FaceTime scan my contacts and indicate who are on FaceTime?

No, the only way you can know it is to ask them. The system will not auto tell you who of your contacts having FaceTime and who are not having it. I think Apple should revise their FaceTime algo too.
