I had been a Blackberry guy for so long, I wasn't sure if I could use the iPhone keypad. After about 3 months I am won over. It wasn't easy! Am wondering about one thing, tho. What is the difference between iMessage and texting?
Is one better than the other? What is the advantage of iMessages vs texts? Btw, I just had to have my new iphone 5 replaced because the speaker quit. Anyone else had this problem?

Welcome!!

iMessages can only be transmitted between iPhones, iPads & Mac computers. They use small bits of cellular data or wifi (depending on your connection @ that time) for transmitting messages through Apple's servers. As opposed to an SMS or MMS that users email proxys for transmission through your wireless provider.

And even better imessaging is free between the devices thomasjtsi mentioned.

Welcome aboard!!!
