Error 1602 - Lost all contacts while updating software- how to quickly restore

hi
was in Itunes upgrading software and all of a sudden gave me "unknown error 1602" and reverted back to original software and lost everything, phone went back to original version as if it was just purchased, lost all my contacts and notes, so desperate.

need to restore my contacts asap,
any help would be greatly appreciated please help!! thanks

will i have to buy Wondershare Dr.Fone (iPhone5) to do a data recovery???

Just use iTunes to restore from backup. iTunes must have backed up your iPhone information (along with contacts) during the upgrade. To restore, connect the iPhoen to your computer, run iTunes, select the phone from the left pane and click "Restore from backup" select the latest dated backup.
