MacRumors reports that German carrier Deutsche Telekom has started accepting reservations from customers who are interested in purchasing the next iPhone via its online reservation service.

Initially reported on by German website Apfelpage.de, the new reservation system promises that those signing up will get preferred delivery of the next iPhone when they provide a valid email address and mobile phone number.

And while Deutsche Telekom does not mention the names of the forthcoming iPhones, it is likely that such a significant carrier does indeed have prior knowledge that Apple is just weeks away from announcing the new phones.

In fact, Deutsche Telekom introduced a very similar ticket-based reservation service back in September 2011 approximately 1 month before the introduction of the iPhone 4s.

Essentially, anyone signing up will be the first in line to receive their new iPhone from Deutsche Telekom without having to line up outside an Apple or Deutsche Telekom store.
