Apple has officially announced its annual iPhone event, scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Apple Park in Cupertino. The keynote kicks off at 10 a.m. PT and will be streamed live on Apple’s site, YouTube, and the Apple TV app.

This year’s spotlight will be on the iPhone 17 lineup, including:
  • iPhone 17 Air – Apple’s thinnest and lightest iPhone yet, replacing the Plus model. Expected with a 6.6-inch display, single-lens camera, and Apple’s C1 modem.
  • iPhone 17 / 17 Pro / 17 Pro Max – All models rumored to get A19 chips and ProMotion displays. The Pro models may feature a new aluminum frame and a redesigned bar-shaped camera system.
Apple is also set to update its entire Apple Watch lineup with Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3. Other possible reveals include AirPods Pro 3, a new HomePod mini, and a refreshed Apple TV 4K.

Finally, expect official release dates for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and the rest of Apple’s upcoming software updates.

It’s shaping up to be one of Apple’s biggest fall events in years.

Will we see the first $2,000.00 iPhone?
This is what I'm wondering,......
What has Trumps crazy tariffs done to prices?
How will Apple have handled it?
Things aren't good here in the UK so if prices of Apple products end up as predicted then sales here will fall dramatically .....
So ..... we will have to wait and see!!!!

I’m not particularly interested in the iPhone 17 in any guise at the moment as I’m quite happy with my iPhone 15 Pro. What I may be interested in is the Apple Ultra 3 watch as a possible replacement for my original Ultra, and hoping they will do a good trade-in program.

Of course, any tariffs on imports from China to the U.S. would have no effect on prices in any other country. UK prices of Apple products have been higher than the U.S. for years. All that can be done is to see what the prices are in the Apple online store after the new iPhones are announced.

Unfortunately prices in the UK have always seemed to translate numerically the same as the US (eg. £100 = $100) which is way different to the currency rate, which today is £100=$135. So prices in the uk are around 33% higher.

I actually bought my Watch Ultra from Costco here in the UK as it was way cheaper than buying direct from Apple. In fact I saved enough on the deal to cover the cost of taking out AppleCare !
