Data connection lost

Has anyone else had this problem using their iphone on t-mobiles service. Everything is working but I keep losing data connection. Is there a solution to this problem or is it just due to the 2g aka edge

I had this on my iPhone 4S unlocked and not jailbroken! Was unlocked from apple as well not aftermarket! It would constantly fluctuate in signal strength in my home where I've lived 3 years and have GREAT service! The iPhone 5 launched for t mobile which is a modified version of AT&T for t mobile, is different then unlocked... Works perfect without any issues! I think unlocked iPhones simply have some issues on t mobile as they originally were not intended for t mobile!
