Chipped glass

Ok, I hope this is the forum for this, but I just dropped my Iphone 4 and now I have a small chip on the side of the front glass. I want to know if I should do anything about it. I was wondering if I should take some jewlers (small and fine cut) fils and file the ragged edges smooth. Thanks for any help.

If it's a chip you can live with, I don't see why not. You're not going to hurt anything by smoothing the rough edges.

A friend of mine, she had a whole chunk of her front panel chipped off, exposing the area near the home button. It's usable, just very.... aggravating to see it sometimes

Thanks, it is a very small chip along the side. I had taken it out of it's everyday case, a 2 layered incipio, and put it in one of my fav hard shell, it's Star Trek OS engineering red. and even though it looks REALLY cool, it's also slippery and does not provide much protection to the front. I have done pretty well with it. I have had it for almost 2 years and this is the first major damage to it.
