Can I convert a US iphone5 to UK?

I would like to replace a stolen iPhone5.
They are much cheaper in the US, but i am worried it won't work here in the UK.
Is it possible to convert, and if so, how is it done?

You'll have to buy an unlocked model. Or, you can buy a locked one and purchase an interposer. You may not be able to find a 5, though there are many stores or companies that may have it still as residual stock. You may have to settle for the 5C or upgrade to the 5S if the 5 is not available
