BLACK SCREEN

i have a jailbroken 3gs and lately i am getting a black screen nearly every day. i have to hold the power button and home screen button together for some time and wait for phone to restart or get the home screen back.the problem is happening more often now. any solutions please.thank you

It's possible that there's some kind of hardware problem that's causing this. It could be anything from screen failure to some other internal component.
