9to5 Mac has some fantastic shots today of Apple’s preparations in San Francisco for the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which starts next Monday, June 11. One of the shots shows a massive “iOS 6” banner being hoisted up inside the building, complete with the legend, “The world’s most advanced mobile operating system.” This, of course, confirms what has been predicted for weeks – that Apple will be launching iOS 6 at the WWDC. In an excellent preview feature on the conference, 9to5 Mac makes some other predictions of what we can expect next week, rounding up all the rumors of the past few months. As far as iOS 6 is concerned, 9to5 Mac says that it will not be as significant an update as iOS 5, but will focus on “refinements”, such as the new, Apple-developed 3D Maps app, and Facebook integration. Apple is not expected to launch a new iPhone or iPad at WWDC, but big news is predicted for the MacBook range, including possibly even an entire new range. Another big prediction for next week that will excite a lot of iPad owners is the chances of Siri coming to the iPad, and 9to5 Mac also covers this, saying that it will not be arriving until this fall, but may be launched next week. As far as other features are concerned, 9to5 Mac has also heard that Apple could be launching a new app called “Organize,” if not next week, then soon.

wow this is very good news :d I just hope the ip4 can handle the new firmware with out lagging like crazy

can't wait to see what IOS 6 will bring.

I hope it can be JB soon after :)

My iPhone 4 is been acting up a little and Verizon is sending me a replacement that will be here Monday... however it is upgraded to a 4S because they no longer have iPhone's 4 to replace wooohooo so I will end up on the good side :D

me either.. just two more days at 6pm, several youtubers are doing live streams such as soldierknowsbest and chrispirillo. obviously they just read from websites that are actually posting about it but its still good to have the video there

I hope it can be JB soon after :)

sooo jammy lol.

Iphone 4 should be able to support ios 6 as there is not much differnce. That being said iphone 4 does not have siri (whoopy) as it sucks anyways, but it can support it no problem, it was decided for amping up sales to only allow it to be available to iphone 4s.

every iphone up to now has supported 3 major ios updates but as the firmwares get newer the devices are less able to support newer firmware ie it lags like crazy and is not usable. hopefully that wont be the case with the 4..

Plus every new major ios update we have seen a new iphone..this could be the first year that there is no new iphone along with this major ios update 6.0...
