Popular WhatsApp messaging platform has been updated with support for 3D Touch gestures on the new iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus. Here's how the official changelog for the WhatsApp 2.12.8 version looks like:
  • 3D Touch: Support for 3D Touch on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. You can now quickly Peek and Pop pictures, videos, links, contact cards, and locations you send and receive in chats.
  • The WhatsApp interface is now mirrored and optimized for right-to-left languages like Arabic (iOS 9+).
  • Bug fixes
The new WhatsApp app allows you to press in-app content harder to Peek and Pop pictures, videos, links, contacts cards and locations in chats. At the moment home screen shortcuts via 3D Touch are not available. Furthermore, the app’s interface is now mirrored and optimized for right-to-left languages on iPhones running iOS 9.0 or later.

WhatsApp requires an iPhone with iOS 6.0 or later and is localized in English, Arabic, Bokmål, Norwegian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
