Way to add custom words to iPhone dictionary?

IIRC there was a way either on my old bb storm or moto droid to add words that my phone would later suggest or autofill when it looked like i was gonna type that word i.e. My email address.

The iPhone automatically learns your own words. I think it takes about 3-4 uses of each word. I don't know of a way to add them in manually...
