Just in case anyone is wondering. All the update is, is a 10kb file or so that updates the way the VZW iP4 handles data roaming. Before you would only be able to use VZW towers, now it will use partner towers (from Sprint, etc).

I have already downloaded it and I can confirm that the phone is not re-locked, unjailbroken, or whatever you want to call it.

My stupid question of the day, since I'm used to the OTA updates for Android. I'm assuming the update files you're talking about hits on sync to your iTunes account?

Yes. When you hook up the phone to iTunes it should ask if you want to download an update. Literally, the update is about 10kb.

Thanks, Matth3w. I'll grab that later today. Appreciate the heads up.

No issues. Let me know if you get the pop up when you plug in your phone to iTunes.

I got the popup on my phone yesterday but declined to "update now". Have not seen it again even when connecting to itunes. How can we tell if we got it?

Open iTunes, plug your phone in. Right click it and choose 'reset all warnings'

if you've got it it won't show up again, if you haven't it will ask you again...

Thanks, it didn't ask again so I guess it did it without my permission.

Sorry, forgot to say you may need to check for updates after resetting the warnings...

I just got mine on my phone.. I selected update now & it didn't take a second to do whatever it is supposed to do.. I guess mine is updated correctly..

Sorry, don't have a 'reset all warnings' in the Summary window. Also have a plain Mac mouse with no right/left click capability.

You can still right click even if your mouse doesn't have the specific ability. Control click or whatever it is.

Same thing here. Im wondering if it updated it or not because nothing popped up or anything. I just hit update and it went away lol.

After the update, in Settings/General/About-carrier should say 10.1. It was 9 something before. This should be an easy way to see if you got it.
