Unlock 5.1.1 with 2.0.12?

Hi there everyone,

I'm spanish guy living in London, sorry for my english.

Recently I purchased from someone an iPhone 4s with 5.1.1 and 2.0.12

He gave me the original orange sim card and I bought a gevey ultra S for my 3mobile network but.. Can't unlock it, it says to me: You have to put the original sim card.. bla bla.
Should I jailbroken before unlock? I've restore the iPhone to put my setting, should I to restore again?

If you're using the Gevey, just jailbreak it first. Normally I would advise doing software changes first, then hardware changes. Just plug and play your Gevey. Make sure you use something like i5MMS from Cydia to fix your MMS problems if any.

Where is it asking for activation? Trying to get the Gevey to work? Or after the jailbreak in the setup
