UI Sounds anyone?

Right then I mentioned in another thread that I would share some minor tweaks so here it is.

This will add a cool lightsaber sound effect as your unlock sound rather than rather dull 'click'

Please follow the following thread first

Once in WinSCP you need to go backup three times and then click System, Library, Audio and finally UISounds

You will see a bunch of files all ending in .caf

Now for the purpose of this little guide I have used a lightsaber light up sound as mentioned above for unlock which can be downloaded using the following link

now simply drag the file across and click yes to overwrite (its a good idea to keep a copy of all the orignal sounds just in case you ever decide to go back)

Exit WinSCP and enjoy your new lightsaber unlock sound (you may need to reboot the iphone)

Note: I take no credit for the daft punk keytones, I found them on another site and thought I would share, I downloaded the lightsaber sound as a wav, chopped it, converted it to AIFF and then changed the extension to .caf

If you want to use these sounds for something else then just rename the file,

eg - if you wanted the Night Vision sound to be a msg alert rather than an unlock then just change the file name to sms-received1.caf

sms-received1 will replace the first msg alert in the iphone list
sms-received2 will replace the second msg alert in the iphone list

and so on.................

Havent figured out how to change the name for msg alerts on the iphone, if you use one of these then the sound changes but the name remains when you select it on your iphone.

There must be a way to change it, so let me know if you know.

Whats the name of the sound file for when some1 replies quickly to an sms ? Not sms-receivedx.caf I've replaced those with street fighter sounds like hadoken when when i receive a normal sms. But when some 1 replies while the sms window is up, that sound is too low and I want to change. Would u happen to know the name of that file?

Thanks for the tutorial quisty. I have been wanting to start getting down on the ssh files and change these sounds. I have been chicken though and didn't want to mess anything up.

Sounds I would like would be something like
Quagmire saying "alright" on slide to lock.
Or Dr.Phil saying "let's do it" or generic sports sounds since it's the playoffs in baseball maybe the sound of a ball connecting with a bat for a homerun instead of the click. And maybe someone saying Touchdown. Just ideas I have more if you have time

I think it is called ReceivedMessage.caf, if you have ifile on your device you can play all the files to hear them.

Same file path as mentioned further up

That was the 1 I was looking for ... thanks a bunch, QuistySnr. I didn't know there was something to test them. I use ifunbox to get in there.
