Trick to screen rotation?

As the topic asks, is there a trick to going to landscape or do you just rotate the iPhone? I am a year into using iPhones and haven't managed to get the hang of it yet.

Some apps (very few) have an option in them to let you change orientations without having to move the device. But normally yes, you would have to rotate the device yourself
