The Situation's App Storms Into Top 10 Entertainment Apps

Although many TV viewers regard MTV's popular reality show, Jersey Shore, as a bit of a joke, it looks like several of the show's stars will soon be laughing all the way to the bank. For example, last Thursday, Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino released his own iPhone app in the App Store. Now, within a week, it's already among Apple's Top Ten grossing entertainment apps, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The app, which you can download here for $4.99/£2.99, features The Situation's daily workout routine, complete with a step-by-step workout program; a GTL (Gym, Tan, Laundry) Finder that uses your current location to help you find the nearest fitness centers, tanning salons and dry cleaners; a Grenade Dodging game; a Sound Board featuring some of The Situation's best lines, not to mention the ability to send and receive messages from the man himself. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a spokesman for the app says it has already done "extremely well", and will doubtless go on to do even better with Sorrentino appearing on Dancing With the Stars on ABC, starting this week.
