Tethered 4S and ipad 2 jailbreak

Since the exploits @pod2g found are userland, wouldn't it make sense that the 4S and iPad 2 could get a tethered jailbreak? At least until they find an exploit in the boot to insert the untether
 
Tethered jailbreaks generally arise from a bootrom exploit without a userland exploit, not the other way around. A bootrom exploit is used to patch the components of the boot sequence (LLB, iBoot, etc.) to load modified firmware, but the patch is not permanent and must be applied through a tool on every reboot.
