Since this has been possible in iOS 13 (beta or public release) on my devices, I‘m using Dark Mode. It looks great, imo.

The Photos app has a few more - very useful - features for editing your images. Editing a photo looks different now, so you might not find immediately what else is possible with iOS 13.

There are certainly a lot more choices for editing than before.
