iPhone 4&5 coming to straight talk for $549 & $649 is it worth it or would it be cheaper to buy an iPhone on CL and use straight talk?

Well there's always the risk of having a stolen or reported stolen iPhone from Craigslist, so that's at your own risk. I'd say it's not that bad IMO. I mean as opposed to $80 a month for limited data from a contract carrier, you'll be saving some money in the long run. I believe the breakeven point is about the 18th month or so.
