I have the smallest of chips on my new phone. It's on the metal band just next to the screen. It's barely noticeable but I know it's there. I'm pretty sure Apple won't do anything about it and will say its my fault. As I have the black model the chip shows up as silver. Can anyone recommend a repair.

its probably worth asking Apple and see what they say.

I know we all have different tolerance for what's acceptable and what isn't. No, don't know anybody who would "repair" a chip on an iPhone 5 but I would go to an Apple Store and at least try to see if they would do something about it. If I cared, which I probably wouldn't.
Mine already has a self inflicted ding and it's by the sim card. I probably will get a voided warranty from Apple if something goes wrong. If that happens, well, we all go swimming......
