SHUTTER wont open up

Took pictures the other day on my Iphone4 and the shutter wont open, tried soft, hard, reboot, and nothing .
I know the camera lens is OK because I took it apart and put it on another iphone and it worked

Any ideas????

Couldn't help you there. A fresh restore might be your solution.

turned off my cel over night, when I opened the camera [next day] app it worked, only took one picture and when I returned to the app the shutter wouldn't open; so I guess it has to be a software...? any thoughts

That happened to me, but all I did was replaced my iPhone since I was still under the warranty. The Genius Bar at the Store also did say it was a software issue.
