Sharing Contacts

We have 2 iPhone 6’s. Our calendar updates or posts changes on both phones when either phone makes a change. But our contacts do not. How do I fix

Contacts should be enabled for the account you‘re both using. See: Settings - Accounts & Passwords - Accounts - your account.
Make sure you‘re both using the same default account (Settings - Contacts - Default Account).
