Service in school is bad. But I have the 1x logo, and when I get to a place where I know there's 3G, it won't update unless I put it on airplane and then off airplane. Why doesn't it go auto?
Because it has to wait for the next service ping off the tower to establish the type of connection that is available. And unfortunately I don't know what the ping rate is.
