Screen dimming

Why does my IPhone X screen dim by itself. After I sits for a little bit I get back on and it’s dimmed by itself.
Anybody else having this issue?

Do you have auto-brightness enabled?

If you have auto-lock set for any particular time, say 5 mins, it will start to dim before switching off if you don’t use it.

Auto brightness is disabled, and auto lock is off.

Also Check to see if low power mode is enabled.

It might have switched over to Night Shift, which makes the screen less bright during the hours of darkness. You can alter the times or turn off the feature.
