Samsung to begin production of iPhone X and iPhone X Plus OLED displays in May.JPG

According to a new report from Economic Daily News, via MacRumors, Samsung will begin production of OLED displays for this year’s iPhone X as well as the new iPhone X Plus in May. If everything goes to plan, once production lines are rolling in May, Samsung will double its production capacity in June.

If this report is accurate, it means that iPhone X and iPhone X Plus production is ahead of schedule this year, as it was not originally thought that Samsung would start production until the end of June. This should also hopefully mean that all three of this year’s iPhones will all be released at the same time, unlike last year.

Apple is not likely to announce the new iPhone line-up until early September, so we can’t know for sure until then exactly what to expect, but it’s looking very likely that Apple will be releasing an OLED iPhone X and iPhone X Plus, as well as a lower-priced LCD iPhone this year.

Why do we think Apple are naming the next generation iPhone the same name/number as the current one??
