Run Sackboy! Run! Out Now for iOS

Pocket Gamer writes that Sony Computer Entertainment has today released an endless runner iOS game featuring LittleBigPlanet’s little Sackboy character. In Run Sackboy! Run! you get to control Sackboy as he tries to outrun the Negativitron. The gameplay is exactly what you’d expect from an endless runner, where you simply tap to jump, tap and hold to jump higher, and swipe right for a short dash.

While you’re running and jumping and trying to defeat or dodge the enemies that are trying to trip you up, you must also try to collect golden bubbles, which, aside from counting towards your score, can also be used to unlock items in the in-game store.

The bubbles also act like a temporary shield to protect you for a few moments, during which time you can take alternative paths that would normally be lethal to Sackboy.

You can also collect stickers and “Save-Me Hearts”, which act as continues.

It’s all pretty standard fare, but LittleBigPlanet and Sackboy fans won’t mind that, especially as the game world looks so good, and an added bonus is the ability to transfer costumes and items that you unlock in the game to other LittleBigPlanet games.
