Restarting by itself

Got a 3GS that restarts itself constantly. No reason at all weather it's charging or just sitting, running an app or the screen is off it restarts itself. I did notice that sometimes the battery percentage is different when it starts up again.

you might have to do a full restore. make sure you backup your content

Same thing happened to me on my daughter's 3GS when I thought I was putting in a new battery. New battery seems to be faulty, so I replaced it with the original until a replacement arrives. No issues of restarting with the original.hone:
