I know they did some improvements with the electronics of how the phone works, but is it possible to record phone calls? Maybe with a potential jailbreak feature?

Google Voice can record incoming calls.

Call Trunk can record outgoing calls.

Some other apps can record both but you'll need to pay a subscription because it uses conference calls to record.

You may want to Google recording calls. Some states allow it without telling the other person. Other states, like Ohio, does not.

I've never understood that if you record someone's call from a state that requires notification and you live in a state that does if you break a law. And really it's off topic but I thought I would mention it. There weren't any Android apps out there that I remember seeing that did record calls. dragonballz is correct about Google Voice.

When my 4S was jailbroken I saw many apps that have you the ability to record calls. I'll keep my two sense to myself about the legality of it.

Right up until someone uses that law to sue you because you broke said law.

Hookbill was kind enough to point out there are other issues that should be considered before recording a phone call. Smart users will heed his advice.

Ohio does allow you to record calls without notifying the other party. I was a police officer for ten years around Columbus Ohio. The law states " as long as one person in the conversation is aware that the call is being recorded". Basically it's only illegal if your not in the conversation. I can dig out the Orc code if anyone would like. I cannot speak for any other states. I record my ex wife's phone calls and have had to use several off them against her in contempt court. I too am looking for a app on the i5 that'll record call.

Here's the thing about Call Recording......... it ALWAYS leads to discussion about legality. Which honestly... doesn't need to take place here at iPF. So.... CLOSED!!!
