My iPhone 32GS makes a noise that is not connected to any of the apps I have. The whoop is unconnected to any announcement, warning, notification, or messages. It is random, LOUD and makes me jump out of my skin. Could it be a virus or something? Any help in assisting me find out what the heck is causing the noise would be greatly appreciated. The noise itself is a triple whoop, reminiscent of a a police car.

The chance of it being a virus are slim to none. Are you getting any kind of notification on your screen when you here these "whoops?"
No, as I wrote, no notifications, memos, reminders, email, etc., etc., just random whoops noises. I spent a good deal of time checking out all the apps under Settings to see what sounds they use to warn of stuff, and none match the whoop. Thanks for the help. I am clueless here and continue to jump out my skin when the stupid sound goes off with neither warning, nor reason.
