Possible fix for wifi grayed out/dissabled

I bought an iphone 4s 16gb running 6.1.2 used on ebay with the wifi issue. I tried just about everything except putting my phone in freezer or using a dryer. But then this morning i read somewhere (will post the original link when i find it) that someone resolved this issue by discharging the battery completely and then recharging. I didn't think this would work but gave it a try. somehow it worked and have wifi & Bluetooth both working now.

try it at your own risk because i also read people complain about issue they had when they completely discharged the battery.

My battery has been discharged completely hundreds of time, and overheated twice to the point that the iPhone turned itself off. After two years it's still going strong.
